Plato’s Closet is not your run-of-the-mill, random thrift store; this is a gently-used clothing store, selling donated clothes at a fraction of the price.

Plato’s Closet isn’t merely a store, but a brand name. Their website boasts top-notch marketing, an aesthetically pleasing Instagram page, a style blog, and directions on how to sell your clothes at one of their locations. That’s right: they buy your clothes! Do you have some extra clothing shoved in your dresser, or at the back of your closet? Well, Plato’s Closet will buy them from you and give you store credit or cash. They create a deal based on the brand and quality of your clothes.

I identify as a frequent patron, and am quite happy with the quality of their products. Plato’s offers dresses, pants, shirts, blouses, jackets, exercise clothing, purses, jewelry, sunglasses, shoes, and a wide selection of men’s clothing as well. Just this past weekend I visited the store to participate in a 90% off clearance event. I bought a skirt, a blouse, and a dress, all for $3.00! Each item cost me cents because of their incredible event. In addition, I bought gently used ankle boots for $10, and a little black dress from H&M for $10 as well. As far as budgets are concerned, Plato’s Closet fits right in.

Today I visited Plato’s in order to take pictures for the article you’re currently reading; I walked away with a much-needed pair of sunglasses for only $6.00!

So this all sounds great, but where is the nearest Plato’s Closet? Above, you’ll see directions on how to get to the nearest store from Cairn. I highly recommend you take a trip in the near future. Besides, the 90% clearance event is still going on!
