How do I get there?: Close enough to walk there!

Cairn University has many significant attributes:  small classes, biblically-minded professors, meaningful relationships, and delicious food options to name a few.  However, one of the most common questions students get asked is, “WHAT ON EARTH IS THERE TO DO AROUND LANGHORNE?”

Have no fear; the Scroll™ staff is here to inform students of all the fun, meaningful places and events to take part in around school through our new section “Community Corner.”  We’re here to show the Cairn community that Langhorne isn’t as dull as the population makes it seem, and there is plenty to do around these parts, starting with this place located 5 minutes from Cairn in the nearby town of Penndel.

Enter “Penndel Bowling Center,” the only bowling alley within 10  minutes of school.  Students have been flocking here since the bowling alleys inception in 2004.  The hottest commodity at this astute bowling alley is their popular deal on Tuesday evenings.  Students get a deal where they pay $1 per game and $1 to rent bowling shoes.  It doesn’t get any better than that! Bowling isn’t the only thing that attracts guests either, as “Penny Lanes Pub” serves some of the best snack food in the area to munch on as you bowl away.

Senior Benjamin Chapman had this to say about the fun to be had here: “$1 games and $1 shoe rentals are truly worth the risk of getting mugged in a sketchy area. I love Penndel Bowling!” As a Cairn student who has been here for 3 years, my friends and I have made “Penndel Bowling Center” a frequent spot every Tuesday night, as it fits the criteria of something fun to do while keeping money in our pockets. So if you’re competitive, social, or just looking for something to do around Cairn for cheap, make your way out to Penndel Bowling Center with your friends and acquaintances.
