Watching You, Watching Me

If I could fly, if I could weep
To wonder why the soul doth creep
On the sly, not meant to leap…
Then I should cry, “life’s fell sweep
Of passion and secrets I’ll never know!”

If I could soar, and see the end,
All life’s lore, then oh, my friend
At the core is just a penned
Existence of defeat

Silence rolls, the heart strings tone
Pay the toll for all you’ve shown
That was not a lie

All the confessions hurl,
With them realities unfurl

I am not what they think I am.
