Unless you are lactose intolerant, or non-human, you probably love ice cream. And even if you don’t love ice cream for some strange reason, I have to tell you about the most amazing local ice cream stand (where you can also buy water ice!).

Dairy Delite (it really is a delight), is a locally owned and operated ice cream parlor. Located approximately 5-7 minutes from Cairn, Dairy Delite will satisfy your every sweet-treat craving.

Closed during the chillier months, approximately October through the end of February, Dairy Delite is an inexpensive, outdoor parlor serving classic ice cream cones, sundaes, flurries, milkshakes, and water ice. They feature classic flavors such as chocolate, vanilla, and cookies and cream, and even introduce newer and original flavors like peach! All of their products are homemade, making the flavor incredible and savory.

The parlor is a walk-up stand, meaning you walk up to a window and place your order, pay cash for your treat, and then either stand and eat, or use the benches and tables located on the side of the stand.

Forget Rita’s commercialized custard and chemical-based water ice; Dairy Delite is homemade, ridiculously inexpensive, and features delicious flavors Rita’s is unlikely to have. Plus, Dairy Delite is a local business and hotspot, and involved in the local community.
