Once upon a time, in a building far far away, there was a plethora of tables occupied by many leaders who run many different clubs. These organizations range from engagements pertaining to leadership and business to camping and games. In case you missed the Org Fair, here’s a rundown for most of the clubs who came.

Love being a leader and organizing events?

Student Government Association (SGA) and Student Program Association (SPA) are your niche! SGA represents the student body by fostering community through organizations and clubs. SPA focuses on creating and executing events and activities that bring the campus to life.

Business and investment peak your interest?

Join Enactus or Investment Club! Enactus is a business organization that creates projects designed help students develop a broadened perspective of the world around them. The Investment Club exists to help students learn about financial topics, such as stocks.

Enjoy writing and being creative with your words?

Gather with a group of fellow writers in the Creative Writing Club! As of this publishing date, they meet on Thursday evenings from 7pm-9pm. Want to get published? Join the crew of students who write for the school newspaper, The Scroll! (This may or may not be a plug to embark on a journey with those of us who write these articles!) You can also freelance for the Scroll without being a member; just send your article to scroll@cairn.edu

Enjoy singing?

The Chorale is Cairn’s concert choir. Members sings and perform for various audiences across the country and world. Take part in producing beautiful melodies in different languages with students from all different majors!

Love experiencing other cultures?

MuKappa and Student Cultural Association (SCA) may be a great fit for you! MuKappa consists of a community of International students who identify with other cultures. They host events, such as the World Feast and Fall Retreat, which help people appreciate the diversities within their cultures. SCA recognizes the diversity on campus by creating events such as the Hispanic Heritage Celebration Block Party, and encouraging conversations on relevant cultural matters.

Love camping and anything outdoors?

Ascend has been rebooted this year and has already had a couple of fun events! They just went camping a couple weekends ago. The students who went enjoyed sleeping in the woods in tents and hammocks, making food over the fire, and going on a hike.

Enjoy playing games?

If you like playing outside, the Disc Golf Association is for you! You can enjoy this fun sport with the brand new disc golf baskets which have been recently installed on campus. If you like playing in the virtual world, join the Level Up Club, in which students enjoy competition and fun in all types of video games and table-top role-playing games.
